Sharing at Sts. Peter and Paul Academy.
Mardi Gras celebration at Sts. Peter and Paul Academy is a tradition that has been enjoyed by several generations of students. Each year parents return to set up this amazing event to ensure that their children are able to have the same wonderful memories from their years at St. Petes. This year as a way of sharing our good fortune of being in such an amazing community, we wanted to share our celebration with Sts. Peter Claver Latin School for Boys from Cincinnati. The Sts. Peter Claver boys arrived in time to enjoy a pizza lunch with the students from the Academy before they embarked on the adventure created by a carnival atmosphere in the gym and cafeteria. The students enjoyed games, a cake walk, a basket ball shoot out, as well as the pleasure of sharing with old friends and new. Parents once again relived their memories and embraced the idea of sharing this activity creating memories for their own children as well as those from another neighborhood. Education is not just about academics.
We have a new video to help promote the Facebook “Like” campaign for iPads. Please share it and help spread the word! We will soon have iPads for every student!

This year’s Mardi Gras was a huge success. The kids and volunteers had a great time. The kids were fast and furious with their tickets, winning at each and every game. Each class chose a King and Queen to usher in the Lenten season, you can find their pictures posted below. They are all just adorable!

We took students from Sts. Peter & Paul Academy to the Cathedral for Catholic Schools Week Mass this morning. It was beautiful.
January 28, 2013 was Grandparents/Special Persons Day at SPPA. Kindergarten through the third grades sang a very special song dedicated to the grandparents. The dance team showed all of their moves in a fantastically choreographed performance. After the shows the guests were treated to light refreshments. Students gave their Special People a guided tour of the school and showed off all of their current work. A great day was had by all!

Mark your calendars for March 9th to join the entire SPPA community and the Kyle Babcock Memorial Fund in the annual Shamrock Shuffle. This year the two organizations, as well as FSG Mobile Solutions and iGameMom, to bring new iPads to all of SPPA. These iPads will bring new opportunities to our children. The 5k is also a great way to welcome spring, meet up with old friends, get some exercise and donate to a great cause! Team Kyle will meet at the clock tower before the race. The Community Foundation will donate an extra $250 to the team showing the most spirit. After the race, join us for drinks at Dingles (across from the clock tower). Please see the attached letter for more information.
