MARDI GRAS CELEBRATES SHARING

Sharing at Sts. Peter and Paul Academy.

Mardi Gras celebration at Sts. Peter and Paul Academy is a tradition that has been enjoyed by several generations of students.  Each year parents return to set up this amazing event to ensure that their children are able to have the same wonderful memories from their years at St. Petes.  This year as a way of sharing our good fortune of being in such an amazing community, we wanted to share our celebration with Sts. Peter Claver Latin School for Boys from Cincinnati.  The Sts. Peter Claver boys arrived in time to enjoy a pizza lunch with the students from the Academy before they embarked on the adventure created by a carnival atmosphere in the gym and cafeteria.  The students enjoyed games, a cake walk, a basket ball shoot out, as well as the pleasure of sharing with old friends and new.  Parents once again relived their memories and embraced the idea of sharing this activity creating memories for their own children as well as those from another neighborhood.  Education is not just about academics.

GrandParent/Special Person Day Jan. 28, 2013

January 28, 2013 was Grandparents/Special Persons Day at SPPA.  Kindergarten through the third grades sang a very special song dedicated to the grandparents.  The dance team showed all of their moves in a fantastically choreographed performance.  After the shows the guests were treated to light refreshments.  Students gave their Special People a guided tour of the school and showed off all of their current work.  A great day was had by all!
